Deer Creek Worship Service
The goal of the Deer Creek service is to provide a rewarding worship experience, with music, prayers and fellowship to patients and residents of Deer Creek of Wimberley - especially extended care residents. We collaborate with other area churches in leading the worship services.
Skills Needed: Ability to relate to older and infirm people.
Commitment: About an hour every nine weeks.
Training: No training or financial responsibility is involved.
Need for More People: There are currently about 30 people in the "pool" for this ministry. The worship service is led by Saint Stephen's Community of Hope and Choir members, with the help of other parishioners who help the residents participate and also spend time visiting.
"The most rewarding moments for me are watching the residents' lips moving with us during the readings, songs and prayers." - Carrie Watson
