Get Connected - Vestry

The Vestry, together with the Rector, defines, enables and supports the mission and ministries of Saint Stephen's. Vestry members lend support to various parish programs and functions and help support and make possible the many lay ministries of Saint Stephen's. They are also responsible for the financial stability of the parish.

Skills Needed: Must be baptized, confirmed, 18 years of age, actively involved in parish.

Commitment:

• 3-year elected term
• Participate regularly in worship
• Participate in Christian Education
• Be present at each regularly scheduled Vestry meeting
• Serve or be willing to serve on at least one parish committee

Training Required: As requested by Rector, usually during Annual Retreat
Financial Commitment: Vestry members are asked to set an example and tithe, or be working toward a tithe by pledging annually.
How Many People Involved Now: 9
Need for More People: 3 members are elected each year at the Annual Meeting.
