Reunion Groups
Group Reunion is the heart of the Cursilo movement. It is a small group of friends or Cursillistas, as those who have already completed their Weekend are known, which meet on a regular basis (normally weekly or bi-weekly) to provide each other with mutual support and encouragement as each shares their walk of faith. Meetings are held at mutually convenient locations - the church, a home, cafe, etc. and normally are limited to approximately one hour.
These groups of friends are formed to hold one another accountable in following through on the "Rule of Life" that each person develops during the Weekend. This rule consists of three major tenets - Piety, Study and Apostolic Action.
The group also provides a venue where life-long friendships can be created through the sharing of experiences, encouragement and support that is brought forth through openness, laughter, compassion and prayer, to name a few.
Currently, St. Stephen's has several active Group Reunions that meet at various times and locations during the week. If you would like to join a group or start a new group, contact any of the individuals listed under the Contact section for assistance.
If you have not yet been to a Weekend, you are also welcome to look into Reunion Groups as a means of furthering your faith walk and developing your interest in Cursillo. Contact any of the individuals in the Contact section for additional information, locations and times of group meetings and a contact name for the group that may interest you.
