September through May, St. Stephen's offers several children's and family programs. You are welcome to join us at any time. Our Sunday School classrooms always have room for one more. There is something for every member of the family.
INFANTS - 4 YEARS are welcome 8:30 a.m. through 12:00 noon in our Nursery's Waumba Land located in its own building to the right of the church sanctuary.
PK4 - K children are welcome at 10:15 a.m. in our Godly Play room, which is also located in the Nursery building to the right of the church sanctuary. Teachers accompany children back to church in time for Holy Eucharist.
1ST - 5TH grade kiddos are welcome at 10:15 a.m. to Orange in the Log Cabin, which is behind the church courtyard. Teachers accompany children back to church in time for Holy Eucharist.
If you have JS/HS aged children, they meet in McArthur Hall on Sundays at 5:00 p.m.
Waumba is the Swahili word for Creator. WAUMBALAND is in the Children’s Center next to the Church. It includes the nursery and GODLY PLAY.
During the Sunday School season, Darelle Jordan uses GODLY PLAY for potty-trained through Kindergarten.
Our goal in Waumbaland is that every child is assured of three life principles:
I am made of GOD.
GOD loves me.
Jesus wants to be my friend forever.
Children PK4 old through kindergarten meet with lead teacher,
They explore Bible stories through a child's viewpoint, opening to the wonder and deep truth they bring.
Nursery Building, 10:15 a.m. - 11:15 a.m.
You are invited to join us for our latest Orange adventure!
Grades 1st through 5th meet in the log cabin
The goal of Orange is that every child know the three basic, but powerful, truths modeled by Jesus in Luke 2:52:
I need to make the wise choice.
I can trust God no matter what.
I should treat others the way I want to be treated.
Classes meet from 10:15 - 11:15 each Sunday Morning.
