St. Stephen's Episcopal School

St. Stephen's Episcopal School, established in 1989 as an active ministry of St. Stephen's Church, is dedicated to providing a faith-centered, academically rigorous education for children from PreK2 through 8th grade. Located on the 52-acre campus in Wimberley, Texas, the school serves the surrounding communities of Driftwood, Dripping Springs, Kyle, and Buda.

The school offers a collaborative, process-focused learning environment where students engage with a curriculum that nurtures intellectual curiosity and moral growth. With an average class size of 16, students benefit from personalized instruction in a supportive, community-oriented setting.

Programs and Curriculum

St. Stephen’s Episcopal School provides a well-rounded education with a variety of enrichment opportunities, including:

  • Core Subjects: Math, Science, Language Arts, and Social Studies

  • Enrichment Areas: P.E., Archery, Art, Music, World Culture, and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics)

  • Religious Education: Weekly Chapel and Religious Education classes are integral to the school experience, encouraging spiritual growth and service learning.

 

In grades 3-8, students are equipped with Chromebooks to enhance their learning experience, ensuring they have access to the tools and resources needed to succeed in the modern world.

St. Stephen's Episcopal School is accredited by the Southwestern Association of Episcopal Schools (SAES), which is recognized by the Texas Education Agency (TEA) and the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS). Our student body is diverse, with 42% boys and 58% girls, and represents a wide range of Christian denominations, including Baptist, Catholic, Episcopalian, Lutheran, Methodist, Non-denominational, Presbyterian, and other Protestant faiths.
