Our Rector & Staff

Rector
Father Kevin began his ministry as the rector of St. Stephen's in September 2020. He is a 2007 graduate of The Seminary of The Southwest in Austin. In his free time he enjoys canoeing, hiking, gardening, reading, watching baseball, and cooking. He and his wife, Heather, have two boys, Holden and Harper.
Father Kevin's ministry is engulfed in the pursuit of building relationships with one another and God. His theology is grounded in the Episcopal Church traditions and beliefs, and can best be defined by the 13th-century Theologian Thomas Aquinas quote, "The one thing our souls desire most is to be in friendship with God."

Vestry
The vestry is the legal representative of the parish regarding all matters pertaining to its corporate property. Vestry members are elected at the annual parish meeting and serve three-year terms. The presiding officer of the vestry is the Rector. The Senior Warden leads the parish between rectors and serves as a support person for the rector. The Junior Warden often has responsibility for church property and buildings.

The basic responsibilities of the vestry are to help define and articulate the mission of the congregation, support the church’s mission by word and deed, select the Rector, ensure effective organization and planning, and manage resources and finances.
